Ways to Add AppleCare After Purchasing Your iPhone

Before anything else, you have to keep your device’s serial phone handy. Follow these steps:

• Head to Settings.
• Tap General.
• Tap About.

On Your iPhone

• Go to Settings ˃ General.
• Tap About before tapping AppleCare + Coverage Available.

Online

• Head over to Apple’s Add AppleCare website.
• Select iPhone before you enter your serial number. You may also choose to sign in using your Apple ID.
• You should be prompted to buy AppleCare within a year of purchasing your iPhone – follow them. Keep in mind that a complete remote diagnostic is required.  

By Phone

• Be sure to keep your proof of purchase available for your device.
• Get in touch with Apple Support at 800-275-2273 (800.APL.CARE)
• You should ask to add AppleCare to your iPhone after you’ve completed a remote diagnostic.

In Store

• Head over to an Apple Store and bring your iPhone with you.
• Present your proof of purchase.
• A visual inspection has to be completed.
