Finally, your Apple Card account can now be shared with another family member. As long as your iPhone runs on IOS 14.6, you may invite them to be part of your Apple Card account.
Unless someone is a member of your Family Sharing group, you won’t be able to invite them to share your Apple Card account. It’s important to note that only up to a total of six members are allowed in Family Sharing groups. Likewise, you’re only allowed up to six people to share your Apple Card Family with.
You’ll be required to select whether that person will be a co-owner or a participant as soon as you invite someone into your Apple Card Family.
A co-owner functions much like the main account owner because both share the same requirements and responsibilities, including paying the card balance and making sure that payments are made on time. Besides managing participants, requesting physical Apple Cards for participants who are under 18 years old, and viewing all activity on the shared Apple Card account, a co-owner can also build credit independently based on the Apple Card.
Alternatively, a participant holds no responsibilities when it comes to making payments or minding the account balance. Furthermore, their access to the account is only limited to their own transaction history. In other words, they can’t access the history of the entire account.
The participant’s spending limits are set by the main account holder. Furthermore, the participants who are 18 years or older are the only ones who are allowed to order their own physical Apple Card and choose to build credit with their account.
The main account holder, the co-owner, and the participant can earn Daily Apple Cash. They can also access their digital Apple card on their Apple devices as soon as they’ve accepted an invite.
